Nate Wildfire
A guy who started singing his last year of high school because it was “an
‘easy’ class that only met three days a week” (just ask Luke), Nate quickly
realized two things… First, singing was a lot tougher than he thought.
Second, he loved it. Nate’s rich bass tone, energy-filled presence, and
striking 6’4″ frame have made him one of the signatures of the DoubleShot!
sound and show.
A local product of Mount Lebanon High School, Nate (like Dave) also
attended Villanova University where he also sang with the Men’s Singers and
Spires. He went on to form a new group, Vocal Minority, on that campus as
well. After returning to Pittsburgh, he was happy to fulfill his singing
jones at fine establishments around Pittsburgh with his good friend Dave.
That was, until he met up with the rest of the DoubleShot! boys. ”Now, I
can’t seem to shake these guys. They keep showing up… always wanting to sing…”
Like all the DS! boys, Nate loves to make people smile through music,
including himself and the other performers.
Although you’d never mistake anyone for Nate (unlike his Villanova
counterpart, Dave), he claims to have been mistaken for Doogie Howser as
well as Dierks Bentley and Kurt Rambis – however, he is not a doctor or an
actor, does not sing country music, and is a little short to be a power forward, even in the 1950′s.
Nate has four brothers and a dad, most of whom are tall and all of whom are
petrified of his darling mother. She is 5’2″.
